Gwynedd Shipping is delighted to announce our involvement in the 'Freight Best Practice for Wales' programme.

Mark Cunnew Managing Director for Gwynedd Shipping Group said ‘We are absolutely delighted to be spearheading the launch of Freight Best Practice for Wales. The programme’s thorough audit process will help us to improve our performance whilst reducing our Carbon output’.

The new Freight Best Practice programme for Wales was endorsed last week (16 November) by the Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones during his visit to truck operator Gwynedd Shipping Group, Holyhead.

Launched in Cardiff on 6 November and sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government, the programme provides a range of free advice and support material designed to help Welsh freight operators reduce emissions and improve efficiency. The Deputy First Minister’s visit to Gwynedd Shipping’s Holyhead based 800 strong trailer operation coincided with a one day on site efficiency advice audit being conducted by experts from the Freight Best Practice programme.
